What does BRCGS stand for?

BRCGS stands for Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards, it is a globally recognised brand and consumer protection organisation with over 29,000 certified suppliers in over 130 countries.

Do I need to be BRCGS Certified?

No. No matter how big the business you do not need to be BRCGS certified however there are many companies across the UK, the US and Europe who will only do business with suppliers who have passed an audit and been accredited by an BRCGS certification body. If you’re a micro, small or medium sized business whose customers do not require you to be BRCGS certified you may wish to consider becoming SALSA certified instead.

How do I obtain BRCGS Certification?

Go to the BRCGS website and select your module of choice, download the standard, and have a read through, our BRCGS mentors can help you interpret and support you in gaining certification if you wish. Once you’ve read through the standards you should attend training to understand the scope and requirements with a choice of training routes available include Virtual Training, In-house training, E-learning or Classroom based learning. Once your training is complete, download and complete the self-assessment template, then choose your certificating body and book your audit. If you’d like a practice run, we can conduct an internal audit for you so that you and your staff feel fully prepared and know what to expect.


How long after my audit until I can expect my certification

Once your audit is complete you should expect to wait up to 42 days to receive your certificate.
